About Me

      Roderick Wilbon is a Multi-Media Journalist, Podcaster, and Public Relations Specialist telling and spinning great stories for a wide range of audiences. He earned an Associates Mass Communication degree from St. Louis Community College, specializing in online and print media. He then attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis, to earn a Bachelor’s in Media Studies, with certificates in Public Relations and Advertising. His background is heaped with reporting assignments, articles, and Public Relations writing. Roderick’s portfolio demonstrates his ability to be versatile in communication methods. He can plan and cover huge events and capture the essence of the event and the headliners. His interviews are super informative and give the reader insight into various public figures and citizens. He is the Swiss Army Knife of writing and communication.

 

      Roderick's work has been featured over social media, and his movie reviews have reached top production companies. Companies such as Warner Bros. Pictures, Fathom Events, and Wizard World. Publications like The Forum Newspaper, The Saint Louis American Newspaper, and The Current Student Newspaper are where you can find his work. On the opposite end, he has garnered local media with his Public Relations skills. Roderick has experience with Television Production directing, writing, and acting in his own and others’ productions. He is the owner of the YouTube channel “Anime Pad TV.” This channel hosts his interviews from events and his movie reviews.  Roderick is the owner of two blogs: theexpressteam.wordpress.com covering sports and entertainment, and animepad.blog covering all things anime and Japanese culture. Roderick has been a part of many segments and interviews on-air at KCFV-FM 89.5 the Wave. That experience factored into him adding podcasting to his group, The Anime Pad Podcast. Roderick wants to be more of a success and help future companies too.
